Enco provided the design and supply
of a spare boom for ALPART’s existing ship loader at Port
Kaiser Jamaica. The existing ship loader handles alumina at a
rate of 1000 tph. The new boom incorporates design modifications
to improve access and maintenance and utilizes a telescoping airslide
conveyor providing 45’ of travel with a total reach, outboard
of fender line, of 65’. The boom has luffing capabilities
and is constructed of structural grade aluminum. This project
was delivered in March 1998. |
