| ENCO was contracted in November 1997 to participate
in the port terminal expansion of Kalija Parks, at the
time, the third largest potash transshipment facility
in the world. The project was completed and ready for
operation in January of 1999. The existing terminal |
|
| had been handling approximately 4.0 million metric tons
of potash annually. The project increased throughput to
6.5 million metric tons. Storage capacity was increased
by 40000 metric tons with provisions to handle a variety
of bulk materials. Enco Engineering designed, manufactured,
and provided construction supervision over the entirety
of the solids handling equipment including eight 54-inch
belt width conveyors each handling 1500 metric tons per
hour, twenty-six belt feeders each capable of 500 metric
tons per hour, and related structures, transfer buildings,
and appurtenances. |
